Happy Halloween!

Starts out looking simple enough:

Ah yes, there's the magic. The view from the side makes it all so clear:

Oh look, they multiplied! (Well, ok, they didn't. I just knit two, one for each of my two friends at my current client. They planned the Halloween party last week and I thought they earned a nice gift. Both were very well received today.)

Pattern was the mid-October knit along project from the Monthly Dishcloth KAL Yahoo group. The pattern was written by Rhonda K White who makes some really neat patterns. The pattern for the candy corn illusion cloth can be found here. (Rhonda is the designer of the dishcloth that I knit for the Yarn Harlot. She has all 50 states plus the Canadian provinces. I think Rhonda has a lot of time on her hands.)

First Hook 'em Horns colorway sock is nearly done. Just doing the k1 p1 ribbing around the top. I suppose there will be a pic coming up soon~!

Lace Cloth

This is my favorite cloth I've done so far from the Monthly Dishcloth KAL (although, I must admit, I haven't done either October one.. I was busy knitting the baby stuff!). This was the end of September cloth. It was my first time to knit lace and I really loved this pattern. It was also my first time to use this Sugar n Cream Country Ombre color yarn and I absolutely loved it!

Oak Leaf Cloth

This is the second cloth I made. This was the September beginning of the month knit along cloth from my Monthly Dishcloth Group on Yahoo. I love the moss/seed stitch border. It's amazing how interesting an alternating k1 p1 pattern is.

Palm Tree Cloth

Alright, I'm going to stop slacking on posting pics of my FO's. Here is the first washcloth I made. It's a palm tree that needs to get in the mail and get to Atlanta because it's seriously overdue for my sister's birthday. (Her b-day was August 2nd. Yes, I suck. She did get a card on time at least so she's doing better off in that department than some of my relatives.) Free pattern courtesy of Rainy Kimbrough.

I am so in love!

So I have knit two pairs of socks so far. The first pair was out of some baby yarn and the second was out of Lion Brand Magic Stripes. I didn't cast on another pair of socks after I finished the last pair (I'm not entirely sure why I didn't but nevertheless I have been) and when my dear yarn pal Ang was over last week, she helped me pick between the delicious red/purple/magenta yarn I got at the California Wool and Fiber Festival and my Hill Country Yarns sock yarn by reminding me that any day was good for red sock yarn, it's only football season for so long. Score one for Ang, I'm so in love.

That's their Sweet Feet Sock Yarn in the Hook 'em Horns colorway. Since I've never knit with 100% merino wool before, I'm enjoying the lovely softness of it. But I'm also in love with the colorway itself. The hues are such perfect Longhorn colors and they fade in and out of the burnt orange so beautifully. I can't wait to finish this pair.

Here's a closeup of the sock.

Have I mentioned how excited I am to be knitting these socks?! ^_^

Huzzah I have upgraded my blog~!

Well hooray. I decided to try to upgrade my blog to the new beta one and it is very nice. I was able to figure out how to add links and such to the side of my blog so I did! I need to get to linking photos and this is my first to link! It's the 5 Hour Baby Sweater that's free on the internet, hooray for Google. With it are the matching booties and bonnet. Pretty cute, and while I don't think it took me 5 hours, it sure didn't take me much longer than that!
Edit: Alright, I've been meaning to do this but I keep forgetting. Here's a pic of Femmie modeling the set. Too funny.

How do you cast on? Michael Wang will show you how!

Oh man, this is the cutest!

Welcome~!

Welcome to my new home on the internet. Once upon a time I had a homepage that I set up back when it was pretty nerdy/rare to have one but I've done little since I abandoned that one.

Hopefully this attempt will get more attention from me than the other one, but who knows what shiny object will appear in the room and lure me away from here.

While I figure out where I have carefully placed my device to get my photos off my camera's memory card, I leave you all with this pic of my sleepy Chubbo. (Her chin is pink from her favorite breakfast of watermelon.. I'll post a video later when I upload it to You Tube or somewhere!)

P.S. Blogger small font = micro sized. omg.
