Alright, so while I did hate the process of knitting with yarn that felt like complete ass (and a nasty hairy one at that), I am happy to report that after a full wash cycle with regular laundry detergent and fabric softener, the Regia socks now feel quite nice.
All I can say in the end is at least I didn't waste my time making socks I will never wear!

Hurrah! I am glad they washed up okay. How many more balls do you have? You need to knit up some knitting gloves to wear while you knit th Regia...
Those were the only 2 balls of the regular Regia that I have. The other 2 balls of Regia I have are Regia Silk!
